How it all started...
Apostolic revival began as a trickle of hope, when a small work was begun in 1930 by Rev. Wesley Williams. What had begun under an oak tree in Bond, was relocated in an old shotgun style house converted into a church. It was conveniently furnished with pews and a "pot belly" stove and an atmosphere of worship!
The trickle of hope soon transformed into a strong stream of faithful saints, as God complimented their prayerful efforts with many souls being filled with the gift of the Holy Ghost! During those years, there wasn't too many families in Bond and Wiggins that wasn't touched by the efforts of the Pentecostal movement. Two Sunday School classes were added to the original structure to accomodate the newly founded Sunday School and the shutters were replaced with real windows. Then land was secured for $420.00 and the new building was built to house the growing number. It served as home for the next thirty-two years and revival continued!
Expanding the vision...
Because of the great rains of Holy Ghost revival, the stream has progressed into a rewarding river! As with every living organism, growth is necessary to sustain life. And on August 18, 1996, we moved into our current location on Highway 49.
First United Pentecostal Church became Word Alive Revival Center in 1998. God honored the giant leap of faith and His blessings continue! It is our desire to be a light to everyone around us! As we look forward in faith, we are seeing the silhouette of a great sea of salvation for Wiggins!

The Story Continues..
Word Alive Revival Center is an Apostolic Pentecostal church which believes in the one true living God, the Lord Jesus Christ, and that everyone should be made warmly welcome to be a part of their church family and allow the LORD to lead them into a greater relationship with Him. Word Alive Revival Center is dedicated to preaching and spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ by pure, anointed biblical teachings and supernatural prayer.
